rel

HTML4 definition of the 'rel' attribute. Here are some additional values and their meanings:

acquaintance
Someone who you have exchanged greetings and not much (if any) more — maybe a short conversation or two. Symmetric.
friend
A friend, compatriot, buddy, home(boy|girl) that you know. Symmetric.
met
Someone who you have actually met in person. Symmetric.
co-worker
Someone a person works with, or works at the same company as. Symmetric.
co-resident
Someone you share a street address with. Symmetric.
neighbor
Someone who lives nearby. Symmetric.
writer
Someone who writes things that you read, typically traditional prose media such as books or magazines, but could also be modern media such as original web log writing (as opposed to hyperlink aggregations/commentary). Inverse is reader.
reader
Someone who reads things you write; see above for media. Inverse is writer.
class

HTML4 definition of the 'class' attribute. This meta data profile defines some 'class' attribute values (class names) and their meanings as suggested by a draft of "Hypertext Links in HTML":

author
Markup of the name of an author. Typically a hyperlink to that author's home page.
book
Markup of the title of a book. Typically a hyperlink to an e-commerce page for that book.
broken
A hyperlink which appears to be broken. [Note to self: perhaps this should be a 'rel' value instead.]
comments
Indicates a group of comments or references to comments. When used within an element with classname of 'log', indicates a list of comments on a log entry.
copyright
A copyright statement.
cur
Indicates a link to a current version of the page. Typically for use only on hyperlink <a> elements.
exit
Indicates a link to a page or pages containing links to depart the current site. Typically for use only on hyperlink <a> elements.
local
Indicates a local reference. The particular locality is unspecified, but may be the page, the site or among a set of sites. Typically for use only on hyperlink <a> elements.
log
Indicates the body of a weblog. Typically for use only on the <body> element.
madlib
Indicates a word exercise/puzzle for the reader where the reader fills in a number of words of certain types (noun, verb, adjective etc.) into a template where the resulting prose is typically humorous.
month
Indicates an element representing a month of information. Typically used on on the <ul> and <ol> list elements. When used inside an element with classname of 'log', indicates a month's worth of log entries.
nav
An element used primarily for purposes of site or page navigation. Typically used on on the <ul> and <ol> list elements.
note
An informative note. A side note. Some additional information about the text which was deemed lengthy enough as to call out in a separate element.
notrecent
A hyperlink to a blog which has not been recently updated. [Note to self: perhaps this should be a 'rel' value instead.]
now
A document body which contains references or descriptions of current activities.
photo
An image resource which is a photograph, typically 640x480 or larger
question
answer
Used to indicate individual questions and respective answers.
ref
A hyperlink to a page which contains a hyperlink back to originating page and/or domain.
sarcastic
Indicates a section of prose whose intended meaning is the opposite of its literal meaning.
temp
When used on a hyperlink, acts as a modifier to indicate
time
Indicates a time value in 24 hour uncolonized format.
title
Indicates a title for the next block. When used inside an element with classname of 'log', indicates the title of a log entry.
translate
Indicates a hyperlink that translates a document into another language. [Note to self: perhaps this should be a 'rel' value instead.]
