I think this is evidence that low sleep (<2hrs in past 35hrs) reduces inhibitions similar to other methods, as I was nowhere near considering implementing video posts before a few hours ago, nor would I have considered it reasonable to even try building it (even with cross-site hosting), nevermind deploying it live, in about an hour.
P.S. It’s a single video file that plays in Safari and Firefox, including on mobile! (iOS9.2 Safari and Firefox OS 2.6).
Perhaps there is hope for HTML5 video after all.
