Well that shivering feeling turned into something quite worse. Within a week it was full blown head chest congestion and I felt terrible. Missed a few days from work, and even now I feel like I'm still working on getting better.
I had my inoperable motorcycle towed to a repair shop for estimates for the insurance company and we'll see how that goes. I hope the damages are not so high as to total the bike. It's an older bike (89) so that's definitely a risk.
Several microformats talks so far this year. SD Forum Emerging Technologies SIG, Apple, Adaptive Path, Fotonotes/media-info meetup at 21st Amendment, CNET, and a few others. The recent SD Search SIG was on the future of Classified Search. Oodle in particular has been working with Rohit and Assaf on an hListing microformat that enables users to post their classified listings on their own blogs, and demonstrated both a WordPress plugin for publishing an hListing, and how it would be aggregated by the Oodle service. The level of interest in microformats definitely seems to be heating up in 2006.
Still, with being out sick from work for many days, and just low on energy and alertness, I feel like I have gotten very little done this year. That and the March crunch is coming up. This year's spring conference season is particularly insane, with the W3C Technical Plenary and All Group meeting, O'Reilly ETech, SXSW, and Mix06 back to back. Just scheduling, coordinating and reserving all the flights and hotels was quite a challenge. The W3C Tech Plenary in particular should be quite interesting as Steve Bratt (W3C CEO) invited Dan Connolly and me to moderate a panel on microformats during the W3C Tech Plenary Day in front of the entirety of the W3C membership in attendance. As microformats have taken quite a different approach from current W3C efforts in XML and RDF, the compare and contrast should make for a lively discussion.
In the immediate future however is next week's MashupCamp where a bunch of microformats folks will be in attendance, and intend to work through some of the remaining hAtom issues, hResume 0.1 details and hReview 0.3 details.
