Hard to believe that such a high percentage of Twitter followers are dormant, or perhaps just bots or brands. I think you’re right that Twitter algorithms are pushing down our real person/connection posts, “in favor of engagement types of tweets”.

Since a month ago, the differences have grown on my recent posts:

Now ~6.3x (up from 2x) more #fediverse responses per post than Twitter, ~900:1 (up from ~500:1) difference per follower (having ~142x more Twitter followers).
